Cyber Crime Wing

  • Central cybercrime portal.
  • Central Cybercrime investigation cell.
  • Coordination with DoT and telephone interception and Monitoring Unit.
  • Communication Investigation Policy.
  • Coordination and guidance to States.
  • Capacity building-Setting up of cyber investigation labs.
  • Schemes on prevention of Cyber Crime against women & children.
  • Best practices compilation and dissemination.
  • Information security Budget matters.
  • Grievances, RTI and Parliament questions.

IS/CISO Wing

  • Implementation of MHA information security policy as per NISPG.
  • Coordinate with all divisions in MHA, ensure compliance, provide resource support, gather feedback etc.
  • Administration & Monitoring of Network Operation Center and Security Operation Centre of MHA.
  • Regular information security audits (internal and external).
  • Apprise MHA information security Apex Committee on audit findings, security breaches and follow up/improvement plans.
  • Coordination with NIC for administration of IT assets, monitoring of traffic and logs .
  • Assessing security risks, planning and implementing steps to counter threats.
  • Cyber awareness programs and skill building of MHA officials.
  • Coordination and policy related to e-Governance.
  • Overall supervision of NIC Unit in MHA.
  • Information security Budget matters.
  • Grievances, RTI and Parliament questions.
